Yeah, I'm still trying to get the feel for it. I used some harder brushes in this picture. Mainly on the mountains. But it's probably hard to see because of the shadow.
LOL I like the soft brushes for some reason. I dunno I guess I feel like it gives more of a relaxing feel rather than a harsh, in your face kind of thing. But I do try to mix the two brushes up more often now. Especially on clothes the hard brush looks better than a soft brush in my opinion.
I generally use hard brushes to fill it in, set values and such, then I use a less strong brush to blend bits. When I can actually draw, it ends up looking nice.
you should experiment a bit with hard high opacity brushes
